Two New Museums Will Pay Homage To French Designer Yves Saint Laurent

In October 2017, will open in Paris and  in Marrakech  two museums entirely dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent, in order to celebrate his life and works.

The Yves Saint Laurent museum in Paris will be located on 5 avenue Marceau, the couture house where the designer worked for almost 30 years.

The musée Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakech, will be hosted in Rue Yves Saint Laurent and it celebrates the designer's attraction for this magical city that he discovered in 1966 and loved ever since.

Both museums aim to let the public discover Yves Saint Laurent world, paying homage to his life, work and creations.

Pierre Bergé, President of Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent, declared:

When Yves Saint Laurent discovered Marrakech in 1966, he was so moved by the place that he decided to buy a house and regularly go back there. It feels perfectly natural, fifty years later, to build a museum dedicated to his oeuvre, which was so inspired by this country. As for Paris, who needs to specify that it is where Yves Saint Laurent created all his work and built his career?’
